You can see distribution of the roundel, the fin flash and other related markings.

Actually, the rectangular "roundel" and the fin flash are very similar, and quite similar to the 1855-1916 national flag, except that the elephant is in a running attitude and with its trunk raised. Since the decal sheet is titled "The Royal Thai Air Force (1942-1945)" I wonder if during those years – of pro-Japanese nationalist government – the former flag was at all used.

Aircraft used by Thai forces also used Japanese markings at times.

The Kongbin Tha Han Lur (naval air arm) uses the same roundel as the Air Force, but the naval ensign as fin flash. See photo.

Police air wings use the same marking as the Air Force with police emblem [above] on nose. See photo and here.
